In this position, you will support the Regulatory Affairs Manager with the research, review, and approval of product packaging and labelling materials. You will help ensure that product formulations, nutrition information, claims, callouts, and regulatory documentation comply with relevant requirements, including US FDA, Health Canada, and international Food for Special Medical Purpose regulations. You will work closely with Regulatory Affairs, QA, Product Development, Graphics, and international teams to review packaging artwork, verify nutritional information, support certifications, monitor regulatory changes, identify compliance risks, and help prevent product release delays or documentation gaps. Help ensure product formulations, claims, callouts, and packaging materials comply with US FDA, Health Canada, and international food and medical nutrition regulations. Perform routine research and administrative tasks to support compliance with US and Canadian medical food regulations and third-party certification requirements. Proofread product packaging, labels, artwork, and nutritional information for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance. Work closely with Product Development and Graphics teams to review packaging and labelling artwork. Support decisions related to claims, callouts, and third-party certifications. Maintain nutrition information for US and international products. Verify calculation methods, rounding rules, ingredient usage requirements, standards of identity, and country-specific nutrition requirements. Identify risks or discrepancies that may impact product release, shipment, or compliance and escalate them quickly. Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to packaging, labelling, or regulatory documentation. Monitor and reconcile version control issues for labels, packaging materials, and regulatory documents. Review product claims and substantiation documents for US and Canadian compliance. Support the cross-functional labelling review process. Assist Regulatory Affairs and QA with maintaining and acquiring product certifications. Monitor US FDA and Health Canada food and medical nutrition regulations through newsletters, government websites, and other sources. Assist with raw material reviews for regulatory conformity and international restrictions. Collaborate with the International Regulatory Affairs team to provide documentation for international product registrations. Follow company SOPs related to quality, safety, and compliance. Recommend improvements to existing SOPs where appropriate. What You Bring To The Job Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related discipline. 0-2 years of professional experience, ideally in food, beverage, nutrition, dietary supplements, or a similar regulated product environment. Strong interest in regulatory affairs, food regulations, nutrition regulations, product labelling, and compliance. Ability to review labels, packaging, nutritional information, product claims, and technical documentation with high attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot regulatory discrepancies or questions in real time. Good judgment in evaluating issues, deciding next steps, and knowing when to escalate. Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and changing priorities. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance. High integrity and strong commitment to compliance. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive regulatory, quality, product, and company information. Ability to follow SOPs and contribute improvement recommendations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Nice-to-Haves Working knowledge of food and nutrition regulations for the US, Canada, and EU. Experience in the food, beverage, nutrition, medical food, dietary supplement, or regulated consumer product industry. Experience with US FDA, Health Canada, EU, FSMP, or international food/nutrition regulations. Experience reviewing product labels, packaging artwork, nutritional information, claims, or substantiation documents. Experience working with third-party certifications. Experience supporting QA, Product Development, Graphics, or cross-functional labelling review processes. Experience with Microsoft SharePoint. Experience working in a GMP, food safety, quality, lab, warehouse, or production-related environment. Experience with version control for labels, packaging, artwork, or regulatory documentation.
