Internal Controls Consulting, Consultant Blue Shield of CA United States, California, El Dorado Hills 4205 Town Center Boulevard (Show on map) Apr 19, 2026 Your Role The Internal Controls Advisory Services team provides objective consulting and advisory services designed to add value and assist management with establishing and maintaining an effective system of internal controls. The team helps Blue Shield of California accomplish its objectives by implementing a systematic, disciplined approach to the evaluation and improvement of risk management and control processes. The Internal Controls Consulting, Consultant will report to the Senior Manager, Internal Controls Advisory Services. In this role you will be responsible for collaborating to strengthen the effectiveness of the organization's controls, drive substantial improvements in overall performance and position our organization for continued growth and success. Your Knowledge and Experience Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Requires a minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience
Requires Internal Audit or SOX compliance experience, with a strong understanding of financial and non-financial internal controls and impact to operational processes
Leverages internal control expertise to develop practical, risk-based recommendations that address process and control gaps; effectively negotiates issues and drives resolution
Requires experience in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Excel advanced functions) to analyze control and operational data, automate reporting, and support risk monitoring
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a dynamic and hybrid environment, with experience in health insurance industry preferred
CIA or CISA certification preferred
