Job Description

At Fike, we help protect people, facilities and businesses from the risks of dust and gas explosions. We're looking for an experienced Explosion Safety Consultant to join our growing consultancy team, supporting customers across the Asia Pacific region. In this role, you'll combine engineering expertise, site investigations and customer collaboration to identify explosion hazards, assess risks and recommend practical solutions that improve safety and support compliance with international standards. You'll work with customers across industries including food & beverage, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, metals, energy and manufacturing, helping them solve complex process safety challenges while building long-term customer relationships. What you'll do Conduct Dust Hazard Analyses (DHA), ATEX Risk Assessments, Hazardous Area Classifications and Process Hazard Analyses (HAZOP or equivalent). Assess explosion risks involving combustible dusts and flammable gases and recommend practical prevention and protection solutions. Advise customers on compliance with ATEX, NFPA, EN/ISO and other applicable standards. Prepare technical reports and present findings and recommendations to customers. Support business development by working closely with Fike's commercial teams and providing technical expertise throughout the sales process. Deliver technical training, contribute to knowledge sharing and represent Fike at customer meetings, webinars and industry events. What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Experience in explosion safety, process safety engineering or engineering consulting. Experience conducting explosion or process safety studies, including HAZOP or equivalent methodologies. Strong knowledge of ATEX, NFPA, EN/ISO, FM and/or VDI standards. Excellent analytical, communication and customer relationship skills. Fluency in English. Ability to travel regularly across the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions as required for business purposes You are located in Malaysia or Singapore Why Fike?
