Job Description

Job Summary :
Tenaska Marketing Ventures (TMV) is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Market Risk Intern to support the Market Risk Group's daily valuation and risk measurement of a portfolio of complex natural gas derivative products. Through hands-on research, analysis, reporting, and project support, the intern will gain practical experience in statistical and financial modeling, valuation, risk management, and broader business operations. Working alongside experienced professionals and subject matter experts, the intern will contribute to real-world initiatives, build relationships across teams, and communicate insights to team members and leadership. This year-round, onsite opportunity is designed for an undergraduate student who can average approximately 20 hours per week during the academic year and 40 hours per week during the summer.

Omaha, NE Essential Job Functions :
Compile and review daily risk reports and support additional reporting, analysis, and project-related activities. Research and analyze valuation- and risk-related inquiries from management, identify relevant trends or issues, and communicate findings and recommendations clearly. Collaborate with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to support business objectives, improve reports or workflows, document procedures and project updates, and complete special projects as assigned. Develop presentations and communicate analytical results, insights, and recommendations to team members and leadership.
Basic Requirements :
Currently working toward undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Intelligence or Mathematics Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, with particular strength in Excel Dependable, predictable and reliable attendance
Preferred Requirements :
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to independently research, analyze, and resolve issues with attention to accuracy and detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally to team members and leadership. Specific interest in the application of mathematics to finance Some formal training in statistics and probability theory Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a strong work ethic, with the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail and accountability.
