Chief People & Risk Officer (CPRO) Position Overview Stand-By Personnel is seeking a proactive and field-oriented Safety & Risk Specialist to support and execute company-wide safety, risk management, and workers' compensation initiatives across client locations and internal operations. This role serves as a key resource for clients, employees, and internal teams by helping identify and reduce workplace risk, improve safety performance, support workers' compensation efforts, and strengthen client relationships through proactive safety consulting. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in both office and field environments and has experience in safety, risk management, incident response, or workers' compensation administration. Key Responsibilities Field Safety & Client Support Conduct on-site safety visits at client locations to assess risk and identify hazards Perform job site observations, safety audits, and hazard assessments Recommend corrective actions to improve workplace safety and reduce risk exposure Partner with clients to promote proactive safety practices and compliance Support implementation of client-specific safety expectations and programs Training & Safety Education Deliver safety training to employees, supervisors, and client teams Conduct new-hire and site-specific safety orientations Reinforce proper PPE usage, safe work practices, and hazard awareness Assist in developing and maintaining safety training materials and programs Risk Assessment & Program Development Support development and implementation of company safety policies and procedures Participate in client-specific safety planning and risk mitigation efforts Assist with job hazard analyses and account risk evaluations Contribute to continuous improvement of safety and risk management programs Workers' Compensation & Incident Management Respond to workplace injuries and incidents, including site follow-up investigations Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis activities Coordinate and attend clinic visits with injured employees as needed Support return-to-work programs and employee recovery follow-up Assist the CPRO with claims management strategy and escalation efforts Driver & Field Operations Safety Conduct ride-alongs and evaluations with drivers and field personnel Monitor and coach safe driving behaviors and operational practices Identify transportation-related risks and recommend corrective actions Client Engagement & Risk Consulting Participate in client meetings regarding safety performance and risk exposure Provide guidance and recommendations to improve workplace safety conditions Support business development initiatives by demonstrating Stand-By Personnel's safety capabilities Help strengthen client relationships through proactive risk management support Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of safety visits, audits, training, incidents, and corrective actions Assist with OSHA documentation and safety reporting requirements Track incident, injury, and risk exposure trends Provide regular updates and recommendations to the CPRO Required Qualifications Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification or actively pursuing certification Experience in safety, risk management, workers' compensation, or a related field Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to engage effectively with employees, supervisors, and clients Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client locations as needed Preferred Qualifications Experience in staffing, manufacturing, construction, industrial, or other high-risk environments Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and safety training Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and return-to-work programs Experience supporting client-facing safety and risk management initiatives Core Competencies Customer-focused mindset (internal and external) Accountability and follow-through Practical problem-solving abilities Professional judgment and decision-making Adaptability in office and field environments Strong organizational and time-management skills Team-oriented approach with a collaborative mindset Work Environment This position operates in a combination of office and field environments, including frequent travel to client worksites throughout the region. The role requires hands-on involvement in active manufacturing, construction, warehouse, and industrial environments, as well as the ability to respond to incidents when needed.
