As a Field Representative , you'll be on the front lines of risk evaluation, visiting a wide variety of commercial properties and documenting insights that directly inform underwriting and pricing decisions. This is a highly dynamic role where no two days are the same. From construction sites to busy business operations, you'll gain firsthand exposure to how companies operate—and how risk is assessed in the real world. What You'll Do Conduct on-site inspections of commercial properties to assess risk factors and business operations Evaluate construction materials, fire protection systems, safety practices, and overall loss exposure Develop clear, detailed reports to support underwriting decisions Use technology and mobile tools to capture accurate data and ensure high-quality reporting Build and maintain professional relationships with clients through in-person and virtual communication Plan and manage your own schedule to efficiently complete site visits across your assigned territory What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (fields like Risk Management, Insurance, Construction, or Safety are preferred) Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce concise, high-quality reports Comfort working independently, with strong organization and time management skills Proficiency with technology (laptops, mobile devices, MS Office, and field tools) Ability to work in a field-based environment , including walking job sites, climbing stairs, and traveling between locations Nice to have: Exposure to insurance, underwriting, loss control, inspections, or safety roles Professional certifications such as CPCU, ARM, CSP, or similar Role Requirements Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within your territory (including occasional overnight stays) Ability to work remotely when not in the field, with a reliable home office setup Comfortable working in a variety of environments and weather conditions What We Offer Paid training, mentorship, and continuous development to support your growth Company-provided vehicle, technology, and tools A flexible work environment with a mix of remote work and field experience The opportunity to build a career within a global leader in insurance data and analytics For over 50 years, Verisk has been the leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry by delivering value to our clients through expertise and scale.
