Job Description
- Risk & Controls Consultant/Sr Consultant (Remote) — Columbus, OH
Pay:
$78,000- $110,000 + bonus potential Consulting impact without the road-warrior life. A respected Ohio CPA and advisory firm's Risk & Controls team is hiring at the Consultant or Senior Consultant level, based in the Columbus area. The work is mostly remote with minimal travel, serving clients in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana plus some national engagements. What you'll do:
- Plan and run SOC 1 and SOC 2, SOX, internal audit and compliance engagements
- Document business processes in narratives and flowcharts and map risks to controls
- Build risk and control matrices and design test plans
- Test control design and operating effectiveness and pinpoint gaps
- Write reports and walk clients through findings and recommendations
- Senior level: coach and review the work of junior consultants What you bring:
- Bachelor's in Accounting or related field
- 2-3+ years in public accounting, internal audit, consulting or risk services (
Senior Consultant:
3+)- Solid grasp of internal control frameworks and professional standards
- CPA, CIA or CISA (or working toward one) preferred Why join:
