Job Description

This position will perform a variety of journey-level professional duties in support of the human resources/risk management functions including classification and compensation analysis, assisting in the investigation and settlement of liability claims for property and bodily injury, assist with the administration of the City's workers' compensation program, as well with the administering of the subrogation files for liability claims, conducting special studies, as well as analyzing and managing risks associated with human resources/risk management practices, including identifying potential risks, evaluating their impact, and developing strategies to mitigate or prevent them; provide information and assistance to City employees and the general public regarding human resources/risk management activities, policies and procedures. To view full job description, please click on the job title: HR/ Risk Management Analyst Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Management or a closely related field; two (2) or more years' experience in the human resources field, and, one or more years' experience in the risk management field; Human Resources experience may be substituted by experience in risk management, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements), or obtain within one year of employment In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions to perform this job successfully. In order to move on to the next phase of the application screening process, you must attach proof of education. Applicants who demonstrate they meet the minimum requirements may be subject to an extensive selection process and screening program, which may include, but not be limited to, evaluation of training and experience; psychological evaluation; polygraph examination; background investigation; medical evaluation; controlled substance screen.
