DIRECTOR OF RISK AND QUALITY
River Oaks Hospital (a UHS affiliated hospital), located in metropolitan New Orleans, Louisiana, is a private psychiatric facility for adolescents and adults. Since 1970, River Oaks has established a tradition of excellence in the treatment of acute psychiatric illness, dual diagnosis, alcohol and drug detoxification, trauma-based disorders, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders. Situated on a 14-acre campus, services are available at all levels of care (inpatient, day or partial hospitalization, outpatient, and intensive outpatient). We are excited to begin an approved $8M renovation this year! River Oaks Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Director of Risk Managment/Quality Assurance. The Director of Risk Management/ Quality Assurance is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and analysis of performance improvement projects and activities with a focus on improving patient safety and quality of care. The Director of Risk Management/ Quality Assurance sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic initiatives. Leads and directs process improvement activities that provide more efficient and streamlined workflow in the hospital. The Director of Risk Management/ Quality Assurance is responsible for coordinating an organization-wide approach to continual compliance with all appropriate regulatory and licensing standards. Must be able to do business math calculations and to problem solve independently on office operation matters. Must have strong organizational skills. Must have ability to focus and perform effectively under stress and with multiple priorities. Must be able to make sound, independent decisions pertaining to job responsibilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Experience:
Minimum one year of experience in healthcare risk management/PI at a leadership level required. Mental health experience desired.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school with a Bachelors level degree in an associated health care field or equivalent experience.
Licensure/Certification:
Certification in Professional Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
