Job Description
Job Description Summary The Senior Director, Enterprise Risk Management ("ERM") will play a pivotal role in driving the transformation of the ERM function across GE Vernova. This executive-level position will work with the Chief Audit Executive in partnership with the CFO and other executive leadership to enhance the existing ERM framework, ensuring it aligns with the company's strategic objectives and risk appetite. The Senior Director will lead the ERM initiatives and collaborate with various business units, including the Power, Wind, and Electrification segments, as well as engage with various functions such as strategy, supply chain, finance, legal & compliance, human resources, internal audit, etc., to embed a robust risk-aware culture throughout the organization. The Senior Director will serve as the enterprise owner of the ERM framework governance and methodology, a trusted advisor to executive leadership, and support Board-level committees on enterprise, strategic, operational, and emerging risks.
Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Lead the short term, transformation and ongoing enhancement of the enterprise-wide ERM framework, including policies, procedures, risk taxonomy, rating scales and governance processes, aligned with leading industry standards (e.g., COSOERM, ISO 31000

- Monitor emerging risks, industry trends, and regulatory developments within the energy and adjacent industries (e.g., utilities, industrial manufacturing), proactively advising leadership on implications and required actions.
- Provide strategic oversight of ERM technology, data, and analytics capabilities, including AI, risk systems, reporting tools, and automation, in partnership with Digital Technology and functional stakeholders to enhance insight, efficiency, and scalability.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing risk management team, fostering talent development, succession planning, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master's in Finance, Risk Management or related field) preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Professional Risk Manager (PRM) or similar preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise risk management, governance, audit, compliance, or related disciplines within complex, large-scale organizations.
- Minimum 8 years in a leadership role, with demonstrated accountability for enterprise-wide programs and outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and operating an enterprise risk management program aligned with leading industry frameworks, including COSO ERM and ISO 31000, with the ability to tailor these frameworks to the organization's strategy, risk appetite, and operating model.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise‑wide risk, governance, or operating‑model transformations.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in leading, influencing, and aligning diverse, cross-functional teams across geographies and business lines.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex risk information and data into clear, executive-level insights and actionable recommendations.
- Experience operating in a global, matrixed organization, with an understanding of regional and international risk considerations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
