Job Description
Risk Manager We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to lead risk management and patient safety activities across our FQHC and oversee Infection Prevention & Control. This position is responsible for identifying, evaluating and mitigating clinical and operational risks, coordinates the review and follow-up of incidents and adverse events, monitors safety trends, and leads infection prevention initiatives. The Risk Manager works collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders, Quality, Compliance, HR/Employee Health, Facilities, Security, and the Safety & Incident Resolution Manager to promote a culture of safety, reduce risk, and support regulatory and accreditation readiness. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of healthcare experience in risk management, patient safety, infection prevention, quality, or a related field. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, healthcare administration, epidemiology, healthcare quality, or a related field. 3-5 years of healthcare experience in risk management, patient safety, infection prevention, quality improvement, or a related area. Experience in ambulatory healthcare preferred. Strong knowledge of patient safety and infection prevention principles. Strong analytical, investigative, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information. Ability to work effectively with clinical and non-clinical leaders and staff. Preferred Qualifications Experience in an FQHC, community health center, or ambulatory healthcare organization . Experience with HRSA, FTCA, Massachusetts DPH, PCA, OSHA, CMS, NCQA, Joint Commission, or other healthcare regulatory/accreditation requirements. Experience conducting root cause analyses and developing corrective action plans. Experience with incident reporting systems and patient safety programs. Experience presenting risk and safety information to executive leadership or committees. FQHC or ambulatory healthcare experience is preferred. CPHRM, CIC, CPHQ, or CPPS certification is a plus.
