Responsibilities:
Administers Boone County's risk management programs, including workers' compensation, liability, property, and casualty coverage. Interprets and administers employee leave programs in compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws, including FMLA and ADA. Responsible for case management for insurance claims, including acting as a liaison officer with insurers, counsel, and other interested parties; monitoring ongoing litigation; reviewing claims; tracking expenses, and reporting the status of claims to the Director. Develops and implements policies, procedures, and training programs related to safety, compliance, and risk mitigation. Chairs the safety committee; conducts workplace inspections and internal investigations; assists with accident and incident investigations; prepares and analyzes reports; and provides backup administrative support for Human Resources operations.

Full-time, exempt, benefited Working hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday -
Friday Location:
Columbia, Missouri Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 2 years' relevant experience (e.g. human resources, public administration, business management, accounting, paralegal studies), or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid driver's license.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the areas of insurance, claims administration, worker's compensation, employment or civil litigation, safety, or loss prevention preferred.
Starting Salary Range:
$62,940 - $64,854 commensurate with experience Deadline for
