POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Risk Manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating clinical and operational risks across the organization. This organizing and administering risk management activities including, but not limited to, managing claims made against the Clinic, coordination with defense counsel and Clinic insurers, facilitating quality improvement activities, and managing and analyzing risk management data.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (Registered Nurse), required Current MS state licensure, required Minimum of three (3) years of experience in management of a medical office, preferred Proficiency in use of an EMR, preferred Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) or willingness to obtain certification, required
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have strong interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively across departments and specialties Ability to conduct investigations and root cause analyses Knowledge of patient safety principles, regulatory requirements and risk management practices Strong discretion and ability to handle confidential information Composure in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments Willingness and ability to learn new technologies Dependable, punctual, and highly detail‑oriented Strong multitasking and independent‑work capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Accurate documentation skills Ability to follow established workflows consistently Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
