Job Overview Role Summary:
This Audit, Exam, and Issue Management Leader (Director- C15) will manage a team to oversee issue management lifecycle governance, remediation oversight, and audit and exam management activities for the USCC Risk and Wealth Risk Segments within Citi's Independent Risk Management (IRM) Organization.
Responsibilities:
Lead issue management governance and oversight for USCC Risk and Wealth Risk Segments, including regulatory, internal audit, 2LOD-sourced, and self-identified issues. Manage Risk Segment owned or impacting audits and exams, including end-to-end lifecycle management of internal audits, internal reviews, and partnership with Regulatory Engagement on exams. Lead stakeholders across 1LOD and 2LOD linked to our risk segments to promote strong risk and controls environment, proactive self-identification of issues, and audit / exam readiness. Oversee remediation quality and sustainability, including evidence, control design, control performance, closure documentation, and readiness for validation. Drive consistent review, escalation, governance, and horizontal lessons learned across the issue, audit, and exam management lifecycle. Manage a team of professionals supporting issue, audit, and exam management activities, ensuring quality execution and stakeholder coverage. Lead risk assessments driven by policy and process changes, ensure impact of changes are addressed and timely executed by stakeholders to mitigate risks and avoid control gaps.Qualifications:
12+ years of experience in financial services, including operational risk, controls, compliance, internal audit functions. Deep expertise in Consumer Retail Credit Products and / or Wealth Management related Products. Strong knowledge of Retail Credit, Wholesale Credit, Investment related policies, processes, controls, systems, data, and reporting. Good understanding of Citi businesses, functions, associated risk profiles, Citi Policies, Standards, Procedures, and their Control Framework. Demonstrated ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders across all three lines of defense. Proven executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex matters and drive sustainable outcomes. Proven leadership in complex, matrixed organizations, including the ability to manage a team while driving alignment across senior stakeholder groups. Ability to leverage AI and automation to improve execution discipline, analysis, and day-to-day operating efficiency.Education:
