Manager - Risk/Quality Management 4211 Walney Road, Chantilly, VA 20151
Full-time Full-time Overview:
Our full-time Risk/Quality Manager will plan, organize and direct aspects of risk and quality management activities in such a manner as to ensure facility compliance with laws, regulations and the standards of the accrediting and approval agencies.
Location:
Northern Virginia Adolescent Treatment Center, 4211 Walney Rd, Chantilly, VA 20151 Northern Virginia Adolescent Treatment Center opened in March 2026 and offers Residential Crisis Stabilization Services for adolescents ages 12-17 in a 16-bed facility.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Direct and oversee the risk management program in collaboration with the corporate risk manager designee. Investigate and analyze actual and potential risks in the facility; assess liability and probability of legal action for potential notification. Implement, educate and encourage incident reporting system throughout the facility. Monitor and analyze program performance data to determine program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Insure compliance with all administrative requirements. Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of programs or operations in meeting established goals and objectives in compliance with facility policy. Responsible for identifying high-risk areas that could cause harm to persons receiving services, visitors, and employees. Collaborate with clinical staff and management for prevention of clinical risks throughout the facility. Develop and lead educational activities to enhance the clinical understanding and utilization of the Full Disclosure process. Maintain database of full disclosure activities and provide oversight for review programs and provides technical support as needed. Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation. Serve as a resource and consultant for risk management activities, performance improvement, policy/procedure development and compliance initiatives. Create and implement policies and procedures that improve both patient care and employee safety. Ensure the application of institutional policies, especially those regarding patient rights, confidentiality and full disclosure. Monitor and analyze Quality Management data for review by facility management. Submit data to external agencies as required. Assist in annual preparation and evaluation of the facility Quality plan. Complete QM projects and incorporates the results into patient care improvements.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a clinical healthcare field, risk management, business, finance, or a related field required. Master's degree in health information management, nursing, or related field preferred. One or more years' supervisory experience required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS
Certifications related to health care risk management, safety, and or process improvement highly preferred. CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). First aid may be required based on state or facility.
