About us Edgehog Trading is a proprietary trading firm specializing in electronic options market making. We take a technology-driven approach, designing and operating automated, scalable systems to provide liquidity across markets. Our team spans trading, engineering, and business operations, working together to build and support the systems that power the firm. We emphasize data-driven decision making, rigorous problem solving, and continuous improvement to navigate complex and evolving markets. We operate in a highly collaborative environment where ideas can move quickly from concept to implementation, and where individuals are empowered to take ownership and contribute directly to the firm's growth. What you'll do: Complete a comprehensive 4-month training program covering options theory, quantitative modeling, systematic trading strategies, and on-desk trading Design, research, and optimize systematic options trading strategies using quantitative analysis and statistical methods Analyze market microstructure and execution quality to identify opportunities and improve strategy performance Manage real-time risk across a diversified portfolio of options positions Work hands-on with our proprietary trading systems, models, and infrastructure Gradually transition into live trading responsibilities with senior mentorship and ongoing support Qualifications and skills: In your final year of study toward a BA, BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Physics, or a related field Exceptional attention to detail Excellent quantitative and analytical skills Ability to take on significant responsibility quickly while maintaining a high degree of operational excellence Strong Python programming skills; familiarity with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, or SciPy is a plus Experience using AI agents to automate tasks and workflows is a plus
