Job Description

Key Responsibilities Build, configure, and maintain FIX connections with clients, brokers, exchanges, and trading systems Oversee the full onboarding process, including requirements gathering, session setup, certification, and production deployment Investigate and resolve issues within FIX message flows such as order submissions, cancellations, executions, and session stability Monitor trading connectivity to identify and address problems like rejects, disconnections, and performance delays Manage configuration elements including routing logic, instrument mappings, and account setups Partner with internal teams and external counterparties to ensure stable and efficient trading connectivity Contribute to incident management efforts by diagnosing root causes and implementing long-term fixes Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in electronic trading environments, focusing on FIX connectivity or trading system support Solid knowledge of FIX messaging across both session management and trade-related communication Understanding of trading workflows, including order handling and execution processing Proven ability to debug and resolve connectivity issues using logs and monitoring tools Experience working in live production environments with structured change and incident processes Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with scripting, querying, or automation tools (e.g., SQL) Exposure to trading platforms such as Bloomberg EMSX, Fidessa, FlexTrade, or similar systems Understanding of market connectivity, including exchange integrations and order routing behavior Experience supporting onboarding or certification of client or vendor connections Comfort working within Linux or Unix-based systems
