A leading energy organization is seeking a Refined Products Trader to manage physical supply positions, optimize inventories, develop trading strategies, and support risk‑management activities. This role will focus on sourcing gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and related refined products while coordinating closely with logistics, storage, and sales teams to ensure an efficient and profitable supply strategy.
Responsibilities:
Drive margin growth through product sourcing, contract structure, and effective trade execution Build and execute trading strategies across key regional markets, including pipeline‑connected systems Manage daily risk exposure using electronic trading platforms Monitor inventory levels through regular communication with sales and operations teams Maintain strong relationships with refiners, supply partners, terminal operators, and brokers Support product blending optimization for components such as butane and naphtha Develop new trading approaches to enhance profitability Coordinate hedge activity and communicate daily position changes with risk and trading teams Analyze market fundamentals, including pricing trends and supply‑demand shifts
Qualifications:
Minimum five years of experience in refined products or energy trading Bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year institution Demonstrated history of driving value through trading strategies Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats Experience with logistics, pipelines, terminals, and sales within the energy sector Ability to make timely, data‑driven business decisions Strong proficiency with MS Office applications and industry tools Excellent analytical, mathematical, and decision‑making skills
