Senior Advisor, Tax & Legal Strategy Vaco
Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled professional to serve as a trusted advisor to clients on complex financial, tax, and legal matters. This individual will work closely with high-net-worth individuals, business owners, executives, and family offices to develop comprehensive strategies that align financial goals with tax efficiency, risk management, estate planning, and business succession objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in accounting, taxation, and financial analysis, with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, financial planners, investment professionals, and external advisors. Key Responsibilities Financial Advisory Advise clients on financial planning, wealth preservation, cash flow management, and long-term financial strategies. Analyze financial statements and business performance to identify opportunities for growth and risk mitigation. Assist clients with business acquisitions, divestitures, valuation considerations, and succession planning. Provide strategic guidance related to investments, retirement planning, and asset protection. Tax Planning & Compliance Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for individuals, trusts, estates, and business entities. Research and interpret federal, state, and local tax regulations impacting client situations. Review complex tax returns and coordinate with tax preparation teams. Identify opportunities for tax savings and long-term wealth preservation. Legal & Estate Strategy Partner with internal and external legal counsel on estate planning, trust structures, business entity formation, and succession planning. Review legal and financial implications of contracts, ownership structures, and business transactions. Assist clients with governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives. Provide guidance regarding regulatory and fiduciary considerations. Client Relationship Management Serve as a primary advisor and strategic partner for clients. Present complex financial, tax, and legal concepts in a clear and actionable manner. Develop long-term client relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated advisory solutions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. CPA required or CPA eligible. Legal background strongly preferred (JD, tax law, estate planning, corporate law, or related experience). 5+ years of experience in public accounting, financial advisory, wealth management, tax consulting, law, or related advisory services. Strong knowledge of tax planning, estate planning, entity structuring, and financial analysis. Excellent communication and client relationship skills. Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, or family offices preferred. Preferred Credentials
