This role involves accurate tax filing and reporting, diligent recording of tax-specific transactions, and strategic tax planning. The Tax specialist will collaborate with external consultants and agencies to address complex tax matters and support the company's financial goals. Role and Responsibilities Tax recording and compliance Calculate tax liabilities and prepare tax forms for accurate external filing and reporting. Record and manage tax-specific transactions and records, including tax journals, capital expenditure details required for tax calculations, and tax depreciation schedules. Support compliance with existing, proposed, and new tax regulations by staying informed about changes and ensuring the company's practice aligns with current requirements. Ensure all tax returns, declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time. Tax research and planning Conduct research to assess the impact of various factors on the company's tax liabilities. Support the identification of opportunities for tax optimization and recommend strategies to improve the company/s tax position. Analyze and provide insights into the tax implications of proposed transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and asset disposals. Tax Consultation Consult with external consultants and agencies to address and resolve complex tax issues. Stay updated on tax legislation changes and collaborate with external experts to ensure the company's tax practices are current and effective. Skill and Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or another related field. 1-5 years of relative experience CPA, EA certification preferred.
