In this role, you will play a vital part in managing tax compliance, preparing financial reports, and supporting various accounting functions. Since we are a small business offering end-to-end business services, you will also gain experience in new business registration, payroll processing and bookkeeping. This position offers a rounded education in the needs of various small to medium businesses. Duties Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations using Drake software and ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws Conduct detailed account reconciliations using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage to ensure data integrity Register new business entities on the state and federal level Submit registration for payroll IDs for business in various states Maintain regulatory compliance accounting standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act). Requirements Tax experience required, preferably in Drake Tax software Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Previous accounting experience Strong knowledge of financial concepts including bookkeeping, debits & credits, and technical accounting standards Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
