Role Description This is an on-site Tax Professional role based in Needham, MA. The Tax Professional will prepare individual and business tax returns, perform tax planning and projections, and assist with tax research to support complex client situations. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing financial records, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws, and identifying opportunities to optimize tax outcomes for clients. The role also involves communicating with clients, collaborating with team members on accounting and assurance engagements, and supporting tax controversy matters as needed. The Tax Professional will contribute to maintaining accurate documentation and upholding firm standards of quality and client service. Qualifications Strong skills in Tax Preparation and Tax Planning, with experience handling individual and business returns. Solid understanding of Tax Law and Tax regulations, including federal and state compliance requirements. Knowledge of Finance and accounting principles relevant to tax reporting and analysis. Proficiency with tax and accounting software (CCH preferred), and strong Microsoft Excel skills. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Enrolled Agent designation is a plus. Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail. Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain tax issues to clients in accessible terms.
