This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional to support tax compliance, research, and planning initiatives while working with a collaborative team. The Tax Consultant role is a consulting opportunity and will be responsible for supporting various tax-related projects, preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting tax research, and assisting with tax planning and compliance activities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical tax knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and analyze federal, state, and local tax returns and related filings. Assist with tax planning, compliance, and research activities. Research tax laws, regulations, and accounting guidance as needed. Prepare supporting schedules, calculations, and documentation for tax filings. Assist with tax audits and respond to information requests. Identify potential tax issues and communicate findings to appropriate team members. Collaborate with accounting and finance teams on tax-related matters. Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation. Support special tax projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. 3+ years of progressive tax experience. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations. Experience preparing and/or reviewing tax returns. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and tax preparation software.
