A Tax Specialist is responsible for documenting all stages of the accounting cycle in order to prepare Federal, State and local tax returns. Will review data prior to preparing the returns, prepare and file returns and will also provide background documentation in case of an audit.

Location:

Falcon Heights, MN Interns will work as staff through busy season, a minimum of 20 hours per week (more is available), and experience what it is like to be an Associate at JAK from mid-February through the tax deadline on April 15, 2027 . All interns are considered for full time opportunities beginning Fall 2026.

You have (requirements):

• Interest in a career in public accounting Must be pursuing a degree in accounting. Preferably candidate has completed their sophomore year of college. Positive, enthusiastic energy The people skills to work with individuals in and out of the organization A forward-thinking and hands-on approach Strong written and verbal communication skills A desire to learn Leadership skills You will (job responsibilities):

• Analyze data and prepare work papers and tax returns based on professional standards for a variety of individuals Identify, research, and assess various tax issues while also providing information to seniors and managers Benefits Provided (Part-Time Staff):
