In this pivotal role, you will lead complex tax projects, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide expert guidance on a wide range of tax issues. Your expertise will support our commitment to delivering accurate tax reporting, strategic planning, and innovative solutions that drive business success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative environment where your technical skills and proactive approach will make a meaningful impact. Responsibilities Prepare and review corporate, individual, and partnership tax returns with precision and adherence to current tax laws and regulations. Conduct comprehensive tax research on issues such as estate planning, securities law, and regulatory compliance accounting to inform strategic decision-making. Assist with tax planning initiatives including mergers & acquisitions, asset management, and private equity transactions. Support audit processes by providing detailed documentation and analysis related to financial statements, GAAP compliance, and internal controls such as SOX. Collaborate with clients to communicate complex tax concepts clearly, ensuring they understand their obligations and opportunities for savings. Reconcile accounts, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and prepare financial reports interpreting financial concepts for various stakeholders. Utilize advanced accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms for accurate bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and tax reporting. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or finance with a strong focus on tax compliance and tax law. Demonstrated expertise in corporate accounting, public accounting, or related fields with familiarity in technical accounting standards such as GAAP. Knowledge of estate planning, wills, trusts & estate law is highly desirable. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent tools for bookkeeping and financial analysis. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare detailed reports. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain intricate tax concepts clearly and professionally. Experience working on regulatory reporting, financial statement analysis, and audit support is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
