full-time Henderson Harbor Tax was established in 2009 as a specialized tax placement division of Henderson Harbor Group. Over the past 16 years, we have successfully placed tax professionals at every level in private industry and public accounting. We service our clients primarily in the NYC area as well as nationally through our AAFA network (45 financial staffing affiliates throughout the U.S. and Canada). Our advertising/technology client is looking for a Tax Associate to provide operational support within the tax department and across internal finance and accounting groups. What You'll Do Support U.S. federal and state corporate income tax compliance, including preparation and review of tax filings. Assist with quarterly and year-end tax reporting and financial reporting requirements. Support indirect tax compliance activities as needed. Gain exposure to post-merger integration and related tax matters. Assist with identifying and supporting tax planning opportunities. Work on a broad range of tax projects and initiatives, providing exposure to diverse tax matters. Report directly to the Tax Manager and collaborate with other members of the tax team. Develop a well-rounded understanding of corporate taxation through hands-on experience across multiple areas of tax. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. Minimum of 1 year of relevant corporate or public accounting tax experience. Experience with or a strong understanding of U.S. federal and state corporate income taxation. Familiarity with tax compliance and financial reporting processes. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
