About the Role Pease Bell CPAs is looking for a JD to join our firm of accounting and tax professionals as a tax associate. This person will be a key member of our team, working directly with our Consulting group on complex tax issues and related projects. Projects and related work will include research and analysis of issues related to the tax consequences of contract issues, estate planning, M&A transactions, shareholder agreements, and tax planning opportunities, including drafting related documents. Although our firm focuses on the key areas of a CPA practice, this position does not entail any work related directly to the preparation or review of tax returns. Salary Range $90-120K, commensurate with experience and qualifications. What You'll Own Conduct substantive legal research on federal, state, and local tax legislation and regulations Analyze complex tax issues, including those related to contract matters, estate planning, M&A transactions, and shareholder agreements Draft documents and written analyses supporting tax planning opportunities and client-focused solutions Collaborate with CPAs, attorneys, and other professionals on client engagements Communicate complex technical tax matters clearly to operational business leaders and other non-legal stakeholders Monitor changes in tax law and assess their impact on client mattersRequirements:
