Job Description:
CV Resources is partnering with a growing organization seeking an Indirect Tax professional to join a collaborative finance and tax team in Centennial, CO. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys researching complex tax scenarios, working with large volumes of transactions, and contributing to a compliance-focused environment. The successful candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of indirect tax responsibilities while partnering with accounting, finance, and operational teams throughout the business. Responsibilities Prepare and file sales and use tax returns accurately and on schedule Coordinate tax payments and ensure all assigned filings are completed by required deadlines Calculate and record monthly use tax accruals and related journal entries Prepare and support various indirect tax and regulatory filings Perform account reconciliations related to tax accounts Review purchasing activity, expenses, and capital expenditures to determine proper tax treatment Evaluate products, inventory, and transactions for taxability considerations Assist with state and local tax examinations, including data collection, analysis, and implementation of recommendations Conduct tax research and interpret regulations affecting business activities Investigate tax notices, inquiries, and discrepancies from taxing authorities Work cross-functionally with finance, accounting, procurement, and operations teams to ensure compliance and proper reporting Monitor legislative updates and rate changes impacting indirect taxes Maintain supporting documentation and internal control requirements Participate in process-improvement initiatives and department projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; Accounting strongly preferred Approximately 2+ years of indirect tax, sales & use tax, or transactional tax experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced Excel proficiency including data analysis, lookups, and pivot tables Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously Self-directed professional who can work independently while collaborating effectively with teammates Preferred Experience Consumer Use Tax compliance Multi-state tax environments Tax research and taxability determinations ERP systems such as SAP Tax automation or compliance software Audit support and tax notice resolution High-volume transactional review environments Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $65,000 - $75,000 Bonus eligibility Comprehensive benefits package Hybrid work environment
