Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented R&D Tax Credit Associate to join our innovative team. In this role, you will play a vital part in identifying and maximizing research and development tax incentives for our clients. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex tax laws, ensure compliance, and optimize their R&D investments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of tax law, accounting, and innovation, contributing to strategic financial planning and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, and possesses a strong foundation in accounting principles and tax credit processes. Responsibilities Analyze client financial data to identify eligible R&D activities and expenses for tax credit claims Prepare detailed documentation supporting R&D tax credit calculations in accordance with current regulations Collaborate with clients' engineering, legal, and finance teams to gather necessary technical and financial information Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws related to research and development credits Assist in the review of client financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for relevant R&D expenditures Support the preparation of tax reports and filings related to R&D credits while maintaining accuracy and timeliness Stay current on evolving tax laws such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and other regulatory requirements impacting R&D credits Qualifications Ability to perform job responsibilities within a remote work model Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Technology, Environmental Science, or another business, science, or engineering field One year of professional experience in client-facing, customer service industry One of the following accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain: Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA If not CPA eligible: Licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) Join us to leverage your accounting expertise in a fast-paced environment that champions innovation!
