Salary Range:
$85,000 - $100,000 per yearRole OverviewWe are looking for a motivated Tax Senior to join our growing team in Naperville. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of remote work alongside meaningful on-site collaboration. You will handle a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate compliance while identifying strategic tax-saving opportunities. This is an ideal role for a professional with at least three years of experience who is ready to move into a leadership-track position.
Key ResponsibilitiesTax Preparation & Review:
Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations (C-Corp and S-Corp), and partnerships.
Client Advisory:
Serve as a primary contact for clients, providing proactive advice on tax planning and financial strategies to minimize liabilities.
Research & Compliance:
Conduct technical tax research on federal, state, and local issues to stay ahead of changing legislative requirements.
Team Mentorship:
Supervise and guide junior tax staff and interns, reviewing their work and supporting their professional development.
Project Management:
Manage multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring all internal and IRS deadlines are met efficiently.
Required QualificationsExperience:
3+ years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
Education & Licensing:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; active CPA license or progress toward certification (CPA or EA) is highly preferred.
Software Proficiency:
Experience with professional tax software such as UltraTax CS, Lacerte, or CCH ProSystem fx is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of GAAP and tax law, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
