About Us (4PT) We are a high-growth boutique tax firm specializing in Private Equity, alternative investments, and closely held investment structures. Our team combines Big 4/Top 10-level technical expertise with the agility and culture of an entrepreneurial firm. We work with leading private equity funds, investment managers, and family offices. Job Summary We are seeking a Tax Senior with strong partnership tax preparation experience to join our team. Experience in the private equity or alternative investments industry is a plus. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of public accounting or private equity fund tax experience and is looking to take on a hands-on role within a growing, dynamic firm. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing complex partnership returns, supporting PE fund compliance cycles, and assisting with technical research. This hybrid role may be based in Greenwich, Boston, New York, Falmouth, or South Florida. Responsibilities Prepare and/or review federal and state tax returns for partnerships (primary focus), as well as select corporate and individual clients in the private equity, alternative investment, and family office space. Includes U.S. international informational reporting (foreign partnerships, foreign corporations, foreign disregarded entities, PFICs, and related forms). Assist with private equity fund, general partner, and management company tax compliance cycles. Maintain and update tax workpapers, basis schedules, and supporting documentation. Prepare and review Schedule K-1s, K-3s, and investor reporting packages. Support tax extensions and quarterly/year-end estimate calculations. Conduct technical tax research on Subchapter K and other relevant topics. Draft internal memos and client-ready tax correspondence. Participate in client meetings, onboarding discussions, and deliverable planning. Assist in developing internal processes, templates, and workflow systems as the firm scales. Mentor junior staff and contribute to training and development. Participate in new service lines or operational improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; tax coursework or experience preferred. 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or a PE/asset-management-focused tax practice. Strong working knowledge of partnership, corporate, and individual taxation. Experience with private equity funds, venture capital, or investment management is highly preferred. Proficiency with GoSystem tax software. CPA or EA eligibility/pursuit strongly preferred. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in contributing to a growing boutique firm. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Ability to work in a balanced hybrid environment; willingness to travel as needed.
