Revenue Clerk

Overview The Barbour County Commission is now accepting applications for a full time position for a Revenue Clerk. Position is located in Clayton. A high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of office experience is preferred; however, any combination of education and experience will be considered . Must have computer skills to use in-house software programs and computer systems efficiently. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Duties Provides data entry and customer service in the assessment of real and personal property. Determines exemptions for property tax assessment. Obtains documentation and information from property owners. Enters data into computer such as exemptions, change of address, and contact information. Ability to communicate effectively with the public in person and by telephone in a positive and pleasant manner. Excellent attention to detail coupled with analysis skills for account reconciliation and error resolution. Pay:

$10.50 - $12.00 per hour
