About Us:
Hire Up Staffing is seeking a dedicated Debt Collector for a reputable third-party debt collection agency. This agency is committed to helping clients manage and recover outstanding debts efficiently and professionally, emphasizing ethical practices and exceptional customer service.
Position Overview:
As a Debt Collector, you will be responsible for contacting individuals with overdue accounts, negotiating repayment plans, and ensuring timely debt recovery. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, and persistence to achieve successful outcomes while maintaining positive client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Contacting Debtors :
Initiate contact with debtors via phone, email, and mail to discuss outstanding debts and negotiate repayment plans.
Maintaining Records :
Accurately document all interactions and payment agreements in our system.
Achieving Targets :
Meet and exceed individual and team collection goals.
Compliance :
Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
Customer Service :
Handle debtor inquiries and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
Collaboration :
Work closely with team members and management to develop and implement effective collection strategies.
Qualifications:
Experience :
Previous experience in debt collection, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
Skills :
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Attitude :
Persistent, empathetic, and able to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in debt collection are a plus.
Technology :
Proficient in using computers and familiar with debt collection software.
