Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Komyatte & Casbon, PC is looking for on-site telephone collectors for its growing medical collections practice. Ideal candidates will have prior experience working in the 3rd party collection space. Experience collecting medical debt and/or with collection litigation is a strong plus. The Collector will be responsible for meeting and exceeding the established individual call and contact goals, as well as contributing to office and group goals and objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES
Answering incoming calls and making outgoing calls in a fast-paced collections environment Providing customer service regarding collection and litigation issues, which requires a working knowledge of the legal collection process. Overcoming stalls and objections in order to determine a consumer's ability and willingness to pay. Utilizing various skip tracing techniques to locate right parties in order to obtain payment. Negotiating payment terms when the right party is reached. Maintaining and logging meticulous notes regarding all communications and transactions. Passing all required compliance testing and then working within compliance guidelines including those established by FDCPA, HIPAA and other federal and state consumer protection laws as well as established office policies. •This list of responsibilities is not intended to fully or completely describe all duties of the position. JOB REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent Prior collection experience (exposure to the legal process is a plus) Ability to handle a high volume of both incoming and outgoing telephone calls Basic computer skills including functional typing Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and within a group, as needed Possess good organizational and multi-tasking skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and ever changing environment Premium placed on bilingual (Spanish to English) candidates
