Legal Collections Responsibilities Include (but not limited to): Maintaining customer database and demographics while reviewing account and processing payments. Answer questions/concerns regarding accounts and negotiating repayment plans within company guidelines. Skip-trace accounts to obtain address or employment information. Assist other department staff as needed. Seek and implement processes that will increase efficiency of individual tasks or overall workload. Other tasks as assigned to conduct business.
Qualifications/Essential Functions:
1+ years' previous experience as a legal collector, or relative experience. High school diploma or GED. Full-time availability Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm (i.e., 40-hour weekly schedule and overtime as needed). Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Learn and use industry specific computer programs as expected. Superior organizational skills, highly self-motivated, team player with the ability to work independently, and prioritize and manage time effectively. Competent in the use of various office machines including printers, copiers, fax machines, adding machines, and multi-line phones. Effective communication skills that are clear and professional both verbally and in writing. Ability to complete work assignments/responsibilities as expected to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Involves a lot of sit down work at the computer while using multiple computer screens/programs. Hourly Non-Exempt:
