Responsibilities:
Assist taxpayers in person, by phone, and by correspondence in a professional manner, Process payments made in-person and via mail, drop box, web, phone, and online bill pay, Process and follow up with various intermittent payments, including rejected payments, returned payments, prepayments, and overages, Perform comprehensive procedures for vital processes, including the installment payment plan, escrow payments, probate claims, nuisance abatements, and delinquent tax certificate sale, Balance cash drawers and create payment receipts, Utilize approved skip tracing resources to locate taxpayers, Perform routine office tasks, including opening and closing the office, stocking supplies, and maintaining retention schedules.

Full-time, non-exempt, benefited Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00
PM Location:
Columbia, Missouri Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, minimum of two to four years of clerical experience, including spreadsheet and word processing applications; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to secure and maintain qualifications for a $50,000 surety bond once employed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a professional office setting; assisting the public in person and by telephone; and experience in cashiering or handling cash.
