Job Description

Front window position collecting real property tax, personal property tax, mobile home tax, aircraft tax, privilege license tax and garbage fees.
Process vehicle tags:
Renewals and new purchases for cars, trucks, motorcycles, trailers, and heavy trucks. Explain laws (if necessary) regarding the payment of taxes and purchase of new vehicles and renewals. All must be done in a courteous and professional manner to the public.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have experience working with the public and ability to correctly count money. Must be able to balance cash drawer accurately each day. Must be proficient in using a 10 key calculator. Use and knowledge of computerized software to include Marvin and AS400. Proper grammar and use of English. Mathematical skills to include addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. General office practices and procedures. General understanding of the operation of a municipal government. Must be bondable which includes a good credit rating and never having filed bankruptcy. Ability to work as a team member with other employees. Deal with others in a professional manner. Maintain professional composure in heated situations. Sit or stand in one location for long periods of time. Physically able to restock tags etc. Must be able to work 5 days each week, 7:30 a.m. -4:30 p.m. Must successfully complete a drug screening if job is offered to you.
Pay:
$13.00 - $14.00 per hour
