Job Description

Job Overview Medical 3rd party Debt Collection Specialist and Bi-Lingual (Spanish) a plus. We are looking for Medical Collectors. We are only going to review and respond if you have some medical background in collections and/or customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Communicate with consumer and business accounts by telephone and approved communication methods for resolution of delinquent accounts. Provide thorough, efficient, and accurate account updates on computer files for each call made or received. Counsel delinquent account holders in finding funds to meet their payment obligations. Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties. Continuing education and training of federal and state laws, client contract changes; The Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, and Cyber Security. Create and manage a pipeline of PPA accounts and conduct follow up on them. Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with company and client policies and procedures. Maintain knowledge of departmental and company policies and procedures Provide feedback to management concerning areas of improvement. Make recommendations to implement improved processes. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Skip Tracing accounts using approved systems and methods. Qualifications High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate or equivalent relevant work experience Minimum 1 year of collection experience or customer service in the medical field. Basic Microsoft Office computer skills Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills Ability to prioritize and organize work Attorney General collection experience is a plus.   • Utilize telemarketing skills to follow up on overdue accounts
  • Apply knowledge of medical terminology to navigate billing processes
  • Demonstrate proficiency in math for accurate calculations
  • Maintain professionalism and phone etiquette when communicating with clients
Experience:
  • Prior experience in medical collections is preferred
  • Familiarity with account reconciliation processes
  • Proficiency in financial software for managing accounts
  • Understanding of medical terminology for accurate billing
  • Strong math skills for precise calculations
  • Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable is a plus
