The Utah State Tax Commission's Income Tax and Education Division is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to fill its Tax Front Counter Technician position. This person will play an integral role in the Division's mission to answer taxpayer inquires. You must be current on your state and federal tax filings and pass a FBI level criminal background check.
Principle Duties:
The technician will need to: Enter data Pay attention to details Work under pressure and meet deadlines Provide general information Work in a team environment Work with taxpayers over the phone and in person Preferences Preference may be given to those who have experience keeping information confidential. Preference may be given to those who speak
Spanish Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
The best qualified candidate for this position is someone who: has exceptional customer service skills has the ability to work in an adverse environment dealing with upset people over the phone and in person can work in a fast paced environment has excellent data entry skills
Work Location:
This position is located in the office, five days a week at the Tax Commission
- 210 N 1950 W Salt Lake City, Utah. Salary Non-state employees are hired for this position at $19.20 an hour. We are unable to negotiate hourly wage amounts. DHRM rules apply for promotions/transfers for current state employees. About the Role Location
