•Duties• Customer service in the form of face-to-face communication and etiquette, call handling and email diplomacy Responsible and accountable for the complete and accurate collection of all property taxes, assessments, motor vehicle dues and all other monies due to Hutchinson County from all sources of income. Responsible and accountable for the complete and accurate record keeping related to the collections of all monies due to Hutchinson County from all sources of incomes and accurate updating of all tax changes. Finance oriented tasks including preparing daily check deposits, balancing with the Auditor's office, and posting daily monies and assisting with the month end books and records. Performing all tax related duties that include preparation of property tax collections, posting taxes, delinquent tax notices and tax statement mailings. Responsible and accountable for the accurate processing and collection of personal information for motor vehicle and property tax updates and collections. Daily mailing and processing of office mail Daily returning and processing of office voice mails Daily processing of emails pertaining to the office email Maintain open communications with all other county and state offices. Scheduled training and conference attendance is required. All other duties that may be assigned to continue the operations of the Treasurer's Office. Qualifications General knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles Strong communication skills across various medias General ability to learn new computer systems and accounting programs Ability to take guidance from others Must be bondable #hc253417
