Job Description

This is an door-to-door, field-based role requiring 2+ years of collections experience , bilingual fluency, and a personal vehicle to manage routes across multiple Texas counties.
Role Overview Job Type:
Field Collections (External/Door-to-Door)
Location Focus:
Harris, Montgomery, Liberty, and Fort Bend Counties Core Goal:
Visit delinquent mortgage borrowers at their homes to collect or negotiate payment arrangements, to keep them in their houses, and prevent foreclosure.
Required Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in collections (door-to-door or field collections experience is highly preferred).
Language:
Must be fully bilingual (English/Spanish) .
Logistics:
Must possess reliable transportation to cover large multi-county routes.
Core Skills:
Advanced negotiation, handling high-stress objections, and balancing empathy with professional firmness.
Key Responsibilities Field Operations:
Conduct in-person site visits, verify property occupancy, maintain required signage, and take property photos when necessary.
Financial Negotiation:
Secure immediate payments, set up future payment schedules, and structure recovery options for past-due mortgages.
Relationship Management:
Maintain ongoing communication with borrowers post-payment to act as an early-intervention resource and prevent future delinquency. Coordinate and communicate with internal collections department.
Administrative Tracking:
Manage daily routes, log customer disputes, track account statuses, and coordinate updates back to the internal office team.
Performance:
Consistently meet or exceed monthly performance and monetary collection goals. This Position requires -
High Mobility:
You will spend the majority of your day driving across a broad territory in the greater Houston area.
Tough Conversations:
In-person mortgage collection requires a thick skin. You will be dealing with families facing severe financial stress, requiring a delicate balance of strict policy enforcement and empathy.
