Job Description

Job Description This contract work will start mid-August and last for approximately 6 months. The Project Construction Field Monitor reports to the Senior Auditor on assigned projects. The following lists the responsibilities and qualifications of the position. The Field Monitor will be monitoring a major project located within Washington County (Germantown area). Duties Observe and document field activity, including, but not limited to, asset tracking, labor review, materials, milestone documentation. Assist the Construction PM and team in field observation duties as assigned. Assist the Sr. Auditor in tracking and testing change orders. Assist the Sr. Auditor in testing Contractor(s) invoices against field observations. Build and maintain Exceptions Report and assist Project Team with clarifications to report. Prepare weekly and monthly report for Project Team. Assist in the investigation of discrepancies between invoices, field observations, and backup support. Ensure compliance with record retention and disposal policies. Support Sr. Auditor and Project Management with all other duties as assigned. Review and understand Contractor(s) and client's contract and related contractual documents. Obtain or build initial database of equipment assets and labor files. Assist in the development of field observation daily and weekly assignments Qualifications Proven integrity, trust, accountability, and responsibility Ability to organize and communicate effectively Physical ability to count inventory which may require handling, climbing, bending, and stooping Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel Ability to work independently and in groups Experience in construction industry, vegetation management, or Transmission Lines preferred Need reliable transportation. Will drive 10-20 miles per day (reimbursed).

$20.00 - $33.00 per hour
Schedule:
Varied (see below) Crews typically start 6:00/6:30 and go until 4:30/5:30, Mon-Friday. You must be present from initial start (6:00/6:30) until ~8:30, and then again from 3 until closeout (4:30/5:30), but can stay throughout the day. This is perfect for a college or trade student. Work in the mornings, head to class, work in the afternoon.
