Our client is looking for a hands-on Director of Tax to lead their tax function and ensure compliance with California and federal tax regulations. This is a high-impact role where you will shape tax strategy, provide guidance on complex issues, and collaborate closely with executive leadership.

What You'll Do:

Lead all corporate, state, and local tax compliance activities in California and beyond Develop and execute proactive tax strategies to minimize risk and optimize results Oversee tax planning for transactions, including mergers and acquisitions Serve as the primary liaison with external advisors and regulatory agencies Manage and mentor a small tax team to ensure accuracy and efficiency

What You Bring:

CPA designation required Deep knowledge of California tax law and multi-state taxation 10+ years of tax experience in corporate or public accounting Proven leadership in managing teams and complex tax compliance matters Strong analytical, communication, and strategic problem-solving skills
