Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled tax accountant/client manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is a CPA who possesses comprehensive knowledge of tax law and compliance. This role involves preparing tax returns and providing strategic tax planning advice. The tax accountant will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and advising on complex tax issues related to corporate tax. In addition to a generous base salary, we offer health insurance, dental insurance (paid by the employee), firm-paid life insurance and short- and long-term disability insurance, Section 125 flexible spending account (where applicable), and 401K plan with employer match (after 1 year).
Responsibilities:
Manage tax client relations. Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses and prepare associated workpapers. Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Conduct detailed tax analyses to identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax legislation. Collaborate with clients to explain complex tax concepts clearly and effectively, ensuring optimal client communication. Utilize various accounting tools such as CCH, Engagement, and QuickBooks for accurate recordkeeping.
Experience:
At least 2 years' proven experience in tax accounting, including preparation of individual and corporate tax returns. Experience working with various accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks online and desktop versions. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines. Excellent analytical skills combined with strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

License/Certification:
