Job Description

PrideStaff is currently seeking an experienced Tax Manager or CPA on behalf of a premier, full-service public accounting firm in the Clearwater, FL area. This growing firm is known for providing high-touch tax compliance, strategic planning, and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, and diverse corporate clients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, C-Corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, and Estates. Provide strategic tax planning, consulting, and tax minimization strategies tailored to middle-market businesses and high-net-worth clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for client engagements, building long-term relationships and maintaining high satisfaction. Supervise, mentor, and review the work of senior and staff accountants, providing direct technical feedback and supporting professional growth. Conduct in-depth tax research on complex tax issues, regulatory changes, and compliance matters; prepare technical tax memorandums. Represent clients before the IRS and state taxing authorities in audits, notices, and controversy resolution. QUALIFICATIONS
Previous Tax experience required, Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license helpful. 5 to 8+ years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm, including at least 2 years in a manager or supervisory capacity. Comprehensive technical expertise in business entity taxation (Pass-Throughs, C-Corps) and complex individual tax compliance. Proven ability to manage client relationships, handle complex tax technical research, and lead engagement teams. Proficiency with public accounting tax software platforms (such as UltraTax, CCH Axcess, or ProSystem fx) and research tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to business owners and stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation (MST) or Master's in Accounting preferred. This role is open to either an experienced Tax Manager or CPA. .
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $29.00
