full-time Responsibilities Oversee federal and state income tax compliance, including the preparation, review, and timely filing of all required tax returns. Manage income tax accounting for the company's legal entities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with applicable accounting standards. Serve as the primary point of contact for federal and state income tax audits, coordinating with taxing authorities and managing responses to audit inquiries. Partner with the Tax Director and senior leadership on strategic tax initiatives, risk assessments, and special projects. Evaluate and implement tax processes, procedures, and internal controls designed to strengthen compliance, improve reporting accuracy, and increase operational efficiency. Ensure company-wide adherence to tax policies, regulatory requirements, and established procedures. Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual tax-related reporting for the company's parent organization. Coordinate with external auditors, accounting firms, and other third-party advisors to provide requested documentation, analysis, and supporting information. Analyze tax and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide actionable insights to support business and tax-related decisions. Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, and other business leaders on tax matters and initiatives. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred. Minimum five (5) years of progressive professional experience in tax operations across multiple disciplines. Strong proficiency in Excel and other financial systems and applications
