This role offers the opportunity to guide complex cross-border tax engagements, advise a diverse client base with global interests, and contribute to a collaborative environment that values expertise and leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, and a client-focused approach to international tax planning and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Lead the review of sophisticated international tax filings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with applicable regulations. Manage international tax engagements from initial planning through final delivery across a range of industries and client structures. Advise clients on tax-efficient approaches for global transactions, foreign investments, treaty positions, and repatriation strategies. Provide guidance on matters involving U.S. international tax compliance for individuals, businesses, and foreign investors with U.S. interests. Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients by translating complex tax concepts into clear recommendations and practical next steps. Mentor and develop tax professionals by sharing technical insight, reviewing work product, and supporting continued growth within the practice. Contribute to the expansion of international tax services by identifying client needs and helping strengthen internal technical capabilities. Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a Master's degree in Taxation. At least seven years of international tax experience within a public accounting environment. Strong understanding of foreign tax rules and U.S. international tax principles. Hands-on experience with compliance filings such as Forms 5471 and 5472 and other related international reporting requirements. Demonstrated ability to manage engagements, balance competing deadlines, and oversee staff performance effectively. Strong client communication and relationship management skills. Proficiency with tax technology and confidence working in a paperless environment. Detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to take initiative in a fast-paced setting.
