Job Description

Job Summary The Treasury and Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing cash management, corporate liquidity, treasury operations, and tax compliance activities. This role supports strategic financial decision-making by monitoring cash positions, managing banking relationships and systems, preparing financial analyses and tax schedules, researching tax regulations, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and a solid foundation in accounting, tax, and treasury management principles.
Key Responsibilities Treasury Operations:
Cash Positioning:
Determine daily cash balances and coordinate necessary bank transfers to ensure adequate operational liquidity.
Bank Administration:
Maintain online banking portals, update user permissions, and open or close corporate accounts.
Liquidity Forecasting:
Assist in preparing weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts to support working capital management.
Risk Support:
Compile financial data to assist senior management in identifying foreign exchange and interest rate risks.
Tax ComplianceReporting:
Tax Filing Support:
Gather financial data and prepare preliminary schedules for federal, state, and local tax returns.
Exemption Certificates:
Manage, update, and track sales and use tax exemption certificates across various jurisdictions.
Audit Assistance:
Organize financial records, ledgers, and transaction histories requested by internal or external auditors.
Tax Research:
Research shifts in local tax codes or international regulations to evaluate potential corporate impact.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience:
1 to 3 years of corporate accounting, corporate treasury, or tax compliance experience.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data modeling formulas).
System Familiarity:
Prior exposure to ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) or Treasury Management Systems (TMS) is highly preferred.
Core Skills:
High attention to detail, strong data reconciliation skills, and the ability to manage competing project deadlines.
