www.apotex.com. Job Summary The Manager, Tax is responsible for managing the company's U.S. tax compliance and supporting tax provision processes. This role works cross-functionally with finance, accounting, legal, operations, and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely preparation of U.S. federal, state, and local tax filings, including income, franchise, gross receipts, sales and use, and property taxes. The Tax Manager also plays a key role in supporting quarterly and annual income tax provisions, computing quarterly and annual transfer pricing adjustments and driving process improvements. This role requires a desire to be hands-on in the data gathering process. The ideal candidate will bring new ideas to streamline existing processes and take over data gathering from existing non-tax stakeholders. Job Responsibilities Partner with external advisors to manage and coordinate the preparation and filing of U.S. federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns, including performing data gathering, and preparing/reviewing returns, supporting schedules and workpapers. Prepare and coordinate gross receipts, sales and use and property tax filings, including exemption certificate management. Continuously analyze and document filing positions for income, franchise, gross receipts, sales and use, and property tax filings. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization. Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions (under IFRS), including current and deferred tax calculations. Prepare supporting documentation and reconciliations for tax accounts. Collaborate with accounting and FP&A teams to ensure accurate financial reporting of tax-related items. Support audits by external auditors related to tax provisions. Prepare quarterly and annual transfer pricing calculations in accordance with the Company's global transfer pricing policies. As needed, partner with external advisors to assist in the preparation of annual transfer pricing documentation, including preparation of the master file, local files, CBCR and pillar 2 calculations.
