We provide consulting for employer-sponsored retirement plans, participant education, compliance, administration, and personal retirement strategies. The goal, as a firm, is to simplify the complexity of managing retirement plans for businesses while providing personalized advice for individual clients with offers of asset management and tax planning services for the over 1 Billion Dollars in assets we manage. Because of our growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Advisor/Manager/Senior Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead tax strategy, compliance, and planning services for a variety of clients, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all tax filings while providing high-level advisory support on complex tax issues. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax regulations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage client relationships effectively. We understand that a lot of you coming out of Public Accounting environments have experienced tough work conditions. This would be an amazing oppertunity for someone who wants to leave the grind & focus on the relationship side of things.
- This will require in office time for our Athens Location but will have a hybrid/remote schedule
- Responsibilities
- Lead the review of complex tax returns, with a focus on High Net Worth Individuals, Trust, Estate, Gift & NFP. (Some C & S Corp)
- Oversee tax compliance and ensure timely filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Advise clients on tax-saving strategies, including tax planning, structuring, and compliance for businesses and individuals.
- Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and oversight on client projects.
- Stay current with changing tax regulations and ensure clients are aware of potential impacts on their financial strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by offering proactive tax advice and fostering trust.
- Collaborate with the financial planning and asset management teams to provide integrated services and ensure all financial aspects of clients' needs are met.
- Provide support for tax audits and inquiries by tax authorities as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's is preferred).
Active CPA Certification
Minimum of 5 recent years of experience in tax accounting or public accounting leadership/managerial role. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, with proven experience in tax planning and compliance.
Leadership and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple clients and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
